Mrs. Ümit Boyner, President, Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSIAD)
 
Mrs. Ümit Boyner and the new members of the board were selected at the 40th General Assembly meeting held in Istanbul on January 21, 2010.

 
Mrs. Boyner received a BA in economics from the University of Rochester. She began her professional career in 1985 at Chemical Mitsui Bank, followed by senior positions at the finance departments of several companies. In 1996 she became the vice president in charge of finance at Boyner Group. In 2002 she became a board member overseeing the finances and investments of the group.
 
Mrs. Boyner has been serving on the board of TUSIAD since 2005, initially as a board member in charge of the external communication commission, later as a vice chair. Mrs. Boyner also devotes her time to various NGOs such as the Education Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV), Turkish Institute of Nautical Archaeology (TINA), and Tohum Autism Foundation. She was also the president of the Corporate Volunteer Association for two years, and a founding member and vice president for four years of the Women Enterpreneurs Association (KAGIDER). Since 2008 she has been serving on the Middle East Advisory Board of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
 
Mrs. Boyner is married and has two children
