Mr. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Fiba Group
Hüsnü M. Özyeğin was born in 1944 in İzmir, Turkey. He graduated from Robert Academy in 1963 and received a B.S. in civil engineering from Oregon State University in Corvallis Oregon in 1967. In 1969 Mr. Özyeğin earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Özyeğin was appointed the Managing Director of Pamukbank in 1974. He became the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Yapı Kredi in 1984.
In September 1987 Mr. Özyeğin founded Finansbank and was Chairman from 1987 to 2010.
Mr. Özyeğin is now the Chairman of Fiba Holding A.Ş., Fibabanka A.Ş., Credit Europe (Suisse) S.A. in Geneva and is a Board Member of Credit Europe (Holland) N.V. and Credit Europe (Moscow) Ltd.
Mr. Özyeğin is involved in numerous civic activities as Chairman of the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, Board Member of Mother and Child Education Foundation, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University, and member of Board of Dean’s Advisors of Harvard Business School.
Mr. Özyeğin is married, has two children and three grandchildren.
