Mr. Daniel Dombey, Turkey Correspondent, Financial Times
 

Daniel Dombey is the Financial Times Turkey Correspondent and Istanbul bureau chief, covering Turkey's political, economic, corporate and diplomatic life.
 
Mr. Dombey arrived in Istanbul in August 2011, having worked as the Financial Times’ US Diplomatic Correspondent for the previous four years in Washington.
 
Mr. Dombey previously covered diplomatic beats for the Financial Times in London and also in Brussels where he first became familiar with Turkey's accession process to the European Union. He has also long been fascinated by Turkey and by Istanbul in particular.
 
Mr. Dombey started writing for the Financial Times in Mexico in 1995. He has an MPhil in Latin American Studies from Cambridge University and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
