H.E. Nikoloz Gilauri, Prime Minister, Georgia
 
Mr. Nikoloz Gilauri has been Prime Minister of Georgia since February 2009.
 
Previously, Prime Minister Gilauri served as Georgian Minister of Energy (2004-2007). Prior to his career in public service, he worked for ESB Ireland as a management contractor and financial controller for the Georgian State Electricity System (2003-2004), as financial consultant with Iberdrola for the Georgian Energy Market (2002), as a financial consultant for Georgia Telecom (2001), and a financial consultant for energy conservation projects at the Philadelphia Small Business Development Centre (2000). Prior to that, he served at the Dublin International Finance Centre as administrator and manager of the assets management corporation Invesco (1999).
 

Born in Tbilisi in 1975, Prime Minister Gilauri studied international economic relations at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, graduated with honors from Limerick University in Ireland with a degree in finance and economics (1999), and earned a Master’s in International Business Management from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2000.
